In the past year I grew deep in friendship with some dear women. And grew deeper in family relationships as well. I experienced joys and sorrows with those close to me, and some of them shared, deeply, in my heartaches too. It is such a relief to have a good friend. Someone who you can be vulnerable with, and who shares their true self with you. You can cheer each other on. And cry together. And laugh so hard you have tears. And break bread together, and drink coffee! It's good to have friends to challenge your decisions and support you as well. To pray together and for eachother. To pray the names of God together and praise His name, for all He has done, is doing, and will do. And it is good to have friends to adventure with. Like road trips to far off places. I drove 6,000 miles this year with one gal pal I dearly love. I camped in a crazy thunderstorm and drank wine and bike rode with another dear heart. Reflecting on the goodness and richness of the friends in my life, especially this past year, causes my heart to swell with joy & thanksgiving. God has surrounded me with a community of caring family and friends when I truly needed it. It's so good to watch Him provide what I need.
