Bon voyage ...
dad and mom put on a lovely luncheon today in my honor. About 40-50 friends from church, family, and other friends came. It was special for me to have these next steps/milestones in my life celebrated. (Truth be told...I didn't actually want mom to plan this party for me initially, but I know she really wanted to, so I decided I'd embrace it. And whad'ya know, it turned out to be a fine time!) I came away feeling overwhelmed by the love and care and was reminded of the many people in my life who genuinely care, even when I don't realize it. Thanks Mom!!!
