Life is a precious gift they say.
Somehow it doesn't always seem that way though.
Like when grandma dies.
When you have a miscarriage.
Or when your husband loses his job.
Or when your little sister hurts so much and doesn't even know it.
Life is lived in the present, not in the past or future.
Only in the present.
We live day by day by day by day.
One day at a time, moment by moment.
Sometimes days drag on & on.
Others we wish would last forever!
Sometimes when I wake up in the morning I am greeted by a weight of worry or anxiety.
This is when I'm trying to live in my own strength.
Other times I rise with my hand in His.
Trusting in my Savior, relying on His strength.
So as I go through life, day by day,
I am reminded to rest in Him.
Place my hand in His and begin taking another step.
Jesus came to give us an ABUNDANT LIFE! //John 10:10
So we can rise each day, though very HARD at times,
and have a peace which passes ALL understanding (even when our world
seems like the bottom is falling out)!
//The following quote is a good reminder about how we can serve our Father even in doing the smallest tasks in life:
"I tend to think of serving God in terms of grand, heroic acts -- but serving Him daily, in all the everyday and trivial events of my life, actually requires far more discipline and commitment. Something as ordinary as doing the laundry or cleaning a bathroom can lead my heart to God, so long as I offer everything I do up to Him." -Elizabeth Prentiss
