A man's steps are directed by the LORD.
How then can anyone understand his own way?
Sometimes when I look at my life it doesn't make sense to me. After reading this Proverb though, it makes sense...God is directing me life and it all makes sense to Him, but to me it may not. I have to trust His plan each step of the way.
Proverbs 20:19
A gossip betrays a confidence;
so avoid a man who talks too much.
I wonder sometimes how some people can talk soo much all the time. I never want to talk more then I listen. And I dislike gossiping, though I do participate in it often.
Proverbs 20:7
The righteous man leads a blameless life;
blessed are his children after him.
I pray that I will be said to have led a blameless life, and that I will leave a legacy behind for generations after me. And I pray my children will be blessed!
Proverbs 20:5
The purposes of a man's heart are deep waters,
but a man of understanding draws them out.
I really do believe God has set purpose/s in my heart for my life for me to live out...I pray that I will have wisdom and understanding so truly draw them out...like water from a deep well as the Proverb says.
Proverbs 20:4
A sluggard does not plow in season;
so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing.
Lazy...is something I never wish to be. It is hard sometimes to be productive, persevering, and planning ahead when around you there are many lazy folks just riding along carelessly. God wants us to be hardworking that we may have a harvest.
Proverbs 20:3
It is to a man's honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel.
Anger = a struggle for me. I admit I can be easily angered sometimes, and be quick to quarrel or yell...God has helped me in this area tremendously but I continually need His help moment by moment in my life-walk.
Read/study the book of Proverbs ~ each one has so much to say.
Gain wisdom, gain understanding.
